Biography:

Mark is an engineer who over the last thirty years has developed a track record of delivering successful process and technology driven business change programmes from within the Engineering and Construction industry. These include the development of Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards and the integration of engineering and commercial systems. He chaired the development of the UK Government BIM Strategy which was published in July 2011 as part of the Government Construction Strategy and chaired the UK BIM Task Group which delivered the 2011-2016 Level 2 programme.

Mark is a Chartered Engineer with a PhD in the digital prediction of social outcomes through the built environment. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and member of the British Computer Society. Mark was previously a Director at Scott Wilson Group and Costain Group plc, he has also held positions with John Laing, Kvaerner Construction and GEC Avionics. Mark was awarded and MBE in the 2011 list for services to construction.
