Nicola is a manager with experience of asset management, the heavy building materials sector and digital solutions for the renewable energy sector. She has used impulse radar for the non-destructive investigation of the built environment to establish asset construction and condition. This included running a joint venture business with civil engineers in Australia. She has run collaborative projects to develop innovative modelling techniques to the operation of offshore wind turbines. Nicola has an MBA from Cranfield University School of Management.  

Nicola is responsible for the change workstream of the Digital Built Britain programme, including ongoing work to support the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the UK, an international programme and support of industry through education, training and sharing of good practice.

The Centre for Digital Built Britain is a partnership between the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and the University of Cambridge to understand how the construction and infrastructure sectors could use a digital approach to better design, build, operate, and integrate the built environment.
