Nik Thomas is the Head of Operations for the Centre for Digital Built Britain, responsible for the delivery of the agreed programme of activities and for financial planning. 

Prior to moving to CDBB in February 2018, Nik spent 3 years as Project Manager for the Education Division of the School of Clinical Medicine.  From 2002 to 2015, he held a number of project management positions with BAE Systems.  These included, from 2004-06, the role as the embedded project manager for the Cambridge Support Solutions Research Partnership, a bilateral agreement between BAE Systems and the University’s Institute for Manufacturing that was a precursor to the Cambridge Service Alliance.

The Centre for Digital Built Britain is a partnership between the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and the University of Cambridge to understand how the construction and infrastructure sectors could use a digital approach to better design, build, operate, and integrate the built environment.
