Research background
Dr Reyhaneh Shojaei is a Research Associate at the Cambridge Centre for Housing and Planning Research in the Department of Land Economy. Her current research focuses on understanding the socio-economic inhibitors to the take up of digital innovation in construction. This research is supported by the CDBB with funding provided through the Government’s modern industrial strategy by Innovate UK, part of UK Research & Innovation.
Rey has a background in urban planning and is interested in housing markets, affordable housing, planning, and land supply. She has a particular interest in the complex relationships between the different actors in the urban housing arena. Her previous research topics have included urban expansion and housing affordability in London, and a structure and agency approach to understanding the private housing market in Tehran.
