Newsletter introduction:
Welcome to the December edition of the CDBB newsletter. I am delighted to confirm that the Centre, as part of the Transforming Construction Alliance, has been selected to deliver a new £72m national hub to encourage innovation and technological advances in the construction and infrastructure sectors. I would like to emphasise that CDBB will be collaborating widely to deliver a digital programme, and I look forward to working together over the coming years.
The next weeks look to be full of activity too as we are eagerly anticipating the publication of the Gemini Principles report, the first output from our Digital Framework Task Group. This report puts forward proposed principles to guide the national digital twin and its underlying information management framework, so please do look out for this soon!
As this will be the last newsletter for 2018, I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved in CDBB directly and also more broadly thank those who have supported the work and ambitions of the centre. It has been great to see the progress made this year and we are all looking forward to the work and challenges that await us in the new year. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter and have a wonderful holiday season.
