Centre for Digital Built Britain completed its five-year mission and closed its doors at the end of September 2022

This website remains as a legacy of the achievements of our five-year foundational journey towards a digital built Britain

In November 2018 Government announced a £72m award from UKRI to the Construction Innovation Hub, a four-year programme of work to transform the construction sector as part of the Industrial Strategy. The Construction Innovation Hub brought together world-class expertise from the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), Building Research Establishment (BRE) and the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) to transform the UK construction industry. In collaboration with over 600 organisations the Hub created programmes and products that bed in:

  • Value-based decision making
  • A shift to digital as business as usual through information management practices and protocols
  • Platform Construction
  • Quality Assurance; and
  • An International Programme – creating global standards and opportunities for our export sector.

This four-year programme of activity concluded in September 2022 but the work of the Hub continues supporting industry and government clients to move from concept to delivery.
