Centre for Digital Built Britain completed its five-year mission and closed its doors at the end of September 2022

CDBB is seeking suppliers for a package of work to showcase the real-world impact of CDBB.

Ever since its inception in 2017, the CDBB has been instrumental in helping create the artefacts of a digital built Britain. Often intangible, often hidden from public view, these artefacts are nevertheless the important foundations for a Britain that will be fundamentally different. Just as those decisions made by the Romans and Victorians have shaped our modern lives, so too will the work being undertaken today shape the lives of our children’s children and for generations to come.

This RFP is part of a five-part project to celebrate the foundational work that is underway to make digital built Britain a reality, and to provide a note of record for those who were involved in CDBB and those who will come after.

The five parts are:

Part one - Commemorative book: to develop a high-quality physical book that acts as a record of note of the foundational work led by CDBB to make a digital built Britain a reality. 

Part two - Virtual exhibition micro-site: to develop a virtual exhibition micro-site that acts as a record of note of the foundational work led by CDBB to make a digital built Britain a reality. 

Part three - CDBB Week event management: to provide event management and digital marketing expertise for CDBB Week 2021.

Part four - Podcast series: to create a professional podcast series that acts record of note of the foundational work led by CDBB to make a digital built Britain a reality. 

Part five - Website: to review and future-proof the CDBB website.

Desired outcomes

  • Act as a record of note that celebrates the achievements and milestones of CDBB to date, and to consolidate and share learnings funded programmes and projects,
  • Bring together the thinking of CDBB community to inform future programmes and pass the baton to a new generation of people who will help turn ideas into reality.
  • Broaden understanding of the possibilities of a digital built Britain among a wider audience.

It is possible for suppliers to bid for one or multiple parts of this five-part project. Any supplier who is successful in winning multiple parts will be expected to demonstrate cost efficiencies through aggregation. It is expected that the awarded supplier for each part to collaborate with the awarded supplier(s) on the other parts.
