The Centre for Digital Built Britain supported a series of events at this year’s Digital Construction Week [DCW], from keynotes to panel sessions, giving insights into the work of the centre and exploring the opportunities associated with the digital transformation of our built environment and how it can help address many of the industry’s biggest challenges.
In Conversation with the Centre for Digital Built Britain we also focused on the work that is being done to support the continued adoption of the BIM Level 2 foundation and also to support the transition towards new international BIM standards.
Terry Stocks presented the outcomes of the first CDBB/CIOB Roundtable on education, as noted in the previous newsletter; the outcomes of which are recognised by industry, from whom we have received positive comments and correspondence.
The event was also a great opportunity for the CDBB team to catch up with many of our stakeholder community including joining ‘Women In BIM’ @WomeninBIM for their successful networking event. In addition it was great to see the launch of the UK BIM Alliance’s working group report on Product Data. For the last six months, the Alliance Product Data Working Group has been consulting on the controversial topic of product data.
