Centre for Digital Built Britain completed its five-year mission and closed its doors at the end of September 2022

This website remains as a legacy of the achievements of our five-year foundational journey towards a digital built Britain

Research background

I am a Land Economist by training and have research expertise in gated communities, real estate market appraisal, land administration, and urban planning. I obtained both my MPhil and PhD from the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge. Having examined how the merger of five land sector agencies in Ghana to form the New Lands Commission impacted land title registration five years post its establishment,  my doctoral thesis employed new institutionalism to explore the extent to which Ghana’s land administration and land use planning systems have contributed to the proliferation of gated communities in Ghana.

Stakeholder Engagement in Smart Cities and Digital Infrastructure Projects

Research ambitions for CDBB

At the CDBB, my ongoing work on stakeholder engagement in Smart City or Digital Infrastructure Projects, seeks to develop a novel framework for engaging all stakeholders of Smart City or Digital Infrastructure projects in such a way that:

  • Engages stakeholders at an early stage in a Smart City project life-cycle;
  • Aspires towards co-creative and co-productive forms of engagement at each stage of the Smart City project life-cycle; and
  • Empowers stakeholders to draw on local knowledge and expertise in order to find solutions to local problems through mutual learning, training and skills development.
