CDBB Engagement Manager

CDBB is seeking a full-time Engagement Manager to take the lead, on behalf of the Executive Director and Head of Engagement, to manage day to day relationships with the Centre's network of collaborators. The Engagement Manager will be the lead in coordinating the Centre's network of collaborators. The role-holder will be the bridge between the Centre's industrial and academic partners and its research and delivery streams with responsibilities including; managing day to day relationships, identifying opportunities for new collaborations, and monitoring of research networks and projects to promote their outputs through communications, education, and training.

Internally the role-holder will work closely with the Executive Director, and Research, Policy, Engagement, and Change programme team members.

Externally, the role holder will be expected to liaise and network with key stakeholders including the Research Councils, BEIS, Innovate UK, UKCRIC, the Alan Turing Institute, Connected Places and Digital Catapults, industry partners and with colleagues undertaking a similar role within the University and other UK HEIs.

The University has received funding of £30M million from UKRI as part of the £72M Construction Innovation Hub partnership with BRE and MTC. The Centre is a key element in the digital built Britain programme which has the ambition of delivering a step-change in construction productivity, creating approximately £2.9 billion of net discounted savings for the Exchequer through the delivery of high performing assets in infrastructure and buildings, and driving exports for UK firms. The long-term vision for the Centre is to develop and demonstrate policy and practical insights that will enable the exploitation of new and emerging technologies, data and analytics to enhance the natural and built environment, thereby driving up commercial competitiveness and productivity, as well as citizen quality of life and well-being. The successful candidate will have a degree or other qualification with an equivalent combination or relevant experience, education and training.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2022 in the first instance.
