The workshop will explore the importance of ontologies in managing data about the built environment, and their role in extracting information from data.  Attendees will explore the state of the art in ontologies, and the feasibility/desirability of ontology standardisation.  A possible deliverable from the workshop is a roadmap document for ontology standardisation.
