The Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) is seeking the Head of Engagement to provide leadership, oversight and co-ordination of the Centre's engagement agenda. The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of CDBB's engagement management, including supervision of the Centre's communications, international, and policy and public affairs workstreams.

The role holder will develop the strategic engagement framework in which to position CDBB's future agenda, funding and operation. Externally, the role holder will be expected to liaise and network with key stakeholders, including government (BEIS, InnovateUK), Catapults, academic institutions, industry partners and with colleagues undertaking a similar role within the University and at other UK HEIs. The role holder will manage the CDBB engagement team and be a key part of the CIH communications and engagement team.

The Centre for Digital Built Britain is a unique Centre positioned in the University of Cambridge's Academic Division. Founded in 2017, we form a multi-disciplinary team made up of specialist individuals all working towards the same goal - using digital techniques to support the modern digital transformation of the built environment sector.

The successful applicant must have significant experience of leading successful engagement and communication campaigns, of working on complex large-scale projects, of developing and implementing communications and engagement strategies. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to understand and simplify complex issues accurately.

Candidates may be required to undergo a security check prior to any employment.

Due to the importance of this role, we expect candidates to be able to commence employment in the beginning of January 2021.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2022 in the first instance.
