Centre for Digital Built Britain completed its five-year mission and closed its doors at the end of September 2022

This website remains as a legacy of the achievements of our five-year foundational journey towards a digital built Britain

CDBB is looking for an organisation to event-manage and facilitate two series of online workshops and dissemination of outputs to the built environment sector. The objective of the project is to gain broad agreement on the digital capabilities required by graduate entrants across the built-environment. This will generate a framework for use by companies, professional institutions, academia and other industry organisations.

The University will provide direction for the project; the successful tenderer will play a key role in leading consultation with built-environment professionals, academics and the professional institutions, and production and dissemination of outputs.

This project seeks to win broad agreement from industry, academic and professional stakeholders on what all early career graduates (0-2 years) should know, and be able to do, associated with 'digital' in the built environment sector across a range of professional and technical disciplines and affiliations. The method we are using involves a series of workshops adapted from the ‘Define your Discipline’ stakeholder consultation process developed by Dowling and Hadgraft in 2013. At the workshops, descriptions of tasks are collected and clustered. These will provide an input into a sector-wide framework describing the capabilities early career graduates require.

The contract start date is 1 October 2020 and the end date is 31 May 2021.
