I have a MSc and a PhD in Geomatics Engineering-Remote Sensing. I have been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Leeds since July 2019 and working with CDBB from Feb 2020. My research background is in monitoring crustal deformation and mainly land subsidence using a SAR satellite imagery technique known as InSAR

Research background

Aurimas recently completed his PhD at the University of Bath, developing new approaches for architects and structural engineers to design low embodied carbon structures using reclaimed structural elements and minimally processed timber. Prior to his PhD, Aurimas completed a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

My research focuses on technology adoption in construction organizations and project settings. For my PhD at the University of Hong Kong, I examined the sociotechnical interactions in a project-based ‘technology transfer’ attempt. Post-PhD, I investigated how SME contractors were responding to the Hong Kong government’s BIM mandate for public projects.
