Biography
Andrew Smith is Research Programme Manager in the Core Team at the Centre for Digital Built Britain. He is responsible for the Research Bridgehead’s operational management, including the delivery of research outputs from the funded programmes, and supports the Bridgehead’s strategic direction, contributing to strategy development.
Prior to joining the CDBB in November 2018, he was business/project manager of multi-disciplinary EU- and UKRI-funded consortia and centres hosted by UK HEIs at Sheffield, Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities, whose focus ranged from studies in human pluripotent stemcells, aquatic and marine animals and environments, and most recently in linked administrative dataset studies.
Andrew has also spent 11 years in New Zealand, at an economics, engineering and environmental consultancy, as corporate planner at a city council, and as a strategy adviser at a Crown Research Institute.
He is a Cambridge economics graduate from many many years ago.
