Centre for Digital Built Britain completed its five-year mission and closed its doors at the end of September 2022

This website remains as a legacy of the achievements of our five-year foundational journey towards a digital built Britain

Small companies in the construction sector are invited to discover how to introduce simple, low-cost digital solutions at an online workshop on Thursday 3 March.

Join a virtual webinar at 1.30-3pm on Thursday 3 March to find out more about the Digital Construction on a Shoestring project. Share your priorities and requirements, and hear from companies who have participated in pilot projects.

Affiliated to Digital Manufacturing on a Shoestring, the team from the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Manufacturing has worked with construction companies to adapt the Shoestring approach used by manufacturers – identifying digital solutions which meet the specific needs of the construction sector.

The workshop, enabled by the Construction Innovation Hub, will not only present practical industry examples but also help you to identify and tackle business challenges including how you can digitise work instructions and assembly procedures, to automating quality inspection and job state tracking.
