Centre for Digital Built Britain completed its five-year mission and closed its doors at the end of September 2022

This website remains as a legacy of the achievements of our five-year foundational journey towards a digital built Britain

This purpose of this tender is to explore and strengthen the connective tissue between the UK Building Information Modelling Framework (BIMF) and the Information Management Framework (IMF).

The proposed approach is to undertake a series of roundtables (~5) with selected stakeholders to explore and identify the elements of the connective tissue. The roundtables should be informed by a desk study and guided. The write-ups from the roundtable would constitute the basis for plans to build-on and strengthen the connective tissue.

The awarded supplier is expected to lead the roundtables and the development of the key deliverables identified below. The supplier also will put forward a project lead to join a CDBB project board.

The UK BIM Framework contains standards, guidance and resources to guide organisations, at all stages of digital maturity, to realise the need for good information management. The Information Management Framework (IMF) aims to enable effective information management across the Built Environment. The document “The Pathway Towards an Information Management Framework” sets out the requirements for the technical core of an Information Management Framework that supports secure and resilient exchange, inter-operability, and integration and linking of data and models across the built and natural environments at a national level.

A webinar on 'The Pathway Towards an Information Management Framework' was held on 8 June 2020. You can view the full webinar here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfJeM7PYkhY
